Rumer Willis is sharing that she's the "sole provider" for her 2-year-old daughter, Louetta.
On Monday, Feb. 16, the 37-year-old actress posted an Instagram Reel of herself standing, holding several objects. She was surrounded by text that read "Single Moms Be Like" at the top. Around her body, Willis had written activities like "lunch," "play dates," "meal prepping" and "working out."
Later that day, Willis reshared the Reel with a message to her followers above it. "Just had to clarify since it seems there are quite a few uninformed and rude people in my comments on this post," Willis wrote.
"I work 4 different jobs to provide for my daughter. I am the sole provider for her. I don't live off a trust fund or get money from my parents. Most of the time I don't have help with her," continued Willis, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. "So how about y'all pause before you judge and assume."

The actress shares daughter Louetta with ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.
Then, Willis shared another longer statement on her Stories after getting a comment from a follower about how she has a "back up" with her family if things go south.
"I want to respond to this with care, because I think there's a misunderstanding about what I was actually saying," wrote Willis in a lengthy statement.
"I am very aware that I have privileges in my life that many people don't, and I don't take that for granted," she said. "I know there are realities I will never fully experience, and I respect that. But this particular post wasn't about privilege or comparing circumstances, and it feels like people are assuming I was ignoring that when that wasn't the conversation I was trying to have."

Willis went on to say that she doesn't live her life treating her family as a "backup plan" and explained that she takes pride in providing for herself and her daughter. She said there were years she was the sole provider, and added that the idea that she doesn't work or doesn't understand financial pressure isn't right.
"At the same time, I think we can hold two truths at once," she said. "People's lives look different, and none of our experiences exist in a vacuum. Just like someone with a stable job and housing might still struggle in ways that are real to them, even if their situation is different from someone facing much more severe hardship elsewhere in the world, we all move through different layers of reality. Acknowledging that difference doesn't mean we can't also talk about what we share."
Willis added that she intended to speak to shared experiences, rather than erase differences. She said she thinks there's room for compassion about what everyone is feeling without it becoming a competition.
