Even after five years and an Oscar win, Da'Vine Joy Randolph isn't ready to say goodbye to *High Fidelity*.

The Academy Award-winner, who is currently making the rounds for her role in the sci-fi rom-com *Eternity*, recently addressed the possibility of reviving the sitcom during an interview with *Rolling Stone*. Asked if she'd be open to returning to the show after all these years, Randolph didn't hesitate.

"Absolutely," she replied. "We all feel the same way. Zoë [Kravitz] and I talk about it all the time, like, 'How can we figure this out? Give it back to the people,' but really give it back to us, because we just really love it."

The 2020 series, which offered a modernized, gender-swapped take on the John Cusack romantic comedy classic, lasted only a single season on Hulu before its abrupt cancellation. At the time, Randolph's career was just beginning to pop on the heels of *Dolemite Is My Name* and *The United States vs. Billie Holiday*. Within three years, she would snag an Academy Award for *The Holdovers*.

Though she already has her next few projects lined up, Randolph is open to the idea of once again playing snarky music seller Cherise. But that doesn't mean she has no reservations at all.

"I's a really tricky one, because you're trying to recapture lightning in a bottle," Randolph said of a potential second season. "Sometimes you have to just let things be what it is organically and trust in the process to find the next thing."

*High Fidelity*, based on the 2000 film and Nick Hornby's 1995 novel, centers on Robyn "Rob" Brooks (Kravitz), a young music-obsessed record store owner in Brooklyn, as she reflects on the ups and downs of her previous failed relationships. Fans and critics alike praised the dramedy upon its debut, and since Hulu does not release traditional viewership figures, its cancellation came as a shock. It certainly didn't help that the finale ended on a cliffhanger, with Rob making a major love-life decision.

In the five years since, Kravitz has often discussed her disappointment over the abrupt cancellation and said several times that she would love the opportunity to keep the series going.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph had 'near-death experience' over dim sum

Da'Vine Joy Randolph for a story about her recounting an experience witnessing a mall smash and grab while eating at a dim sum restaurant.

"That's where I really learned about producing and editing and writing, and man, I'm sad," Kravitz told *Elle* earlier this year. "I keep on going back to Hulu and trying to get them to re-up it, but they won't. They're not interested."

Elsewhere in her conversation with *Rolling Stone*, Randolph recalled feeling the pressure of portraying a character previously embodied by Jack Black.

"I chose not to watch the movie because I am such an avid fan of Jack Black, and I did not want in any way for my performance to be tainted," she shared. "I wanted it to authentically be me. But I definitely felt the pressure of, 'Oh gosh, people are going to expect this thing because we're doing a remake.'"

She added, "[The TV show] being so different, I think, helped *High Fidelity* be successful. But that's rare. I often see [sequels] or remakes that happen 20 years later and think, 'Do we need it?'"**

Paul Walker's daughter is paying tribute to her beloved dad.

On Sunday, 12 years to the day after the car accident that claimed the *Fast & Furious *franchise star's life, the model and philanthropist shared a series of images accompanied by a touching caption on her Instagram to commemorate his life.

"12 years without you… I love you forever," Meadow wrote, over a series of three pictures depicting Paul kneeling before a toddler-aged Meadow, who sits on a counter looking at her dad with a smile. In the pictures, Paul holds a plate with up to his daughter containing a dessert festooned with candles, which she considers before giving her dad a peck on the lips.**

Walker's sudden and tragic passing rocked Hollywood in 2013.

The actor was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle when the driver, racing pro Roger Rodas, lost control of Walker's Porsche Carrera GT and struck a concrete lamp post in Santa Clarita, Calif. The car caught fire upon impact, and both men were pronounced dead when authorities arrived on the scene.

Paul had Meadow Rain Walker 15 years before with childhood sweetheart Rebecca Soteros. Though Walker and Soteros never married, the pair co-parented Meadow until the actor's untimely death.

"Every day I pick her up from school, and we go out on a longboard," Walker told PEOPLE in 2006. "She's the best partner I've ever had."

Meadow has paid tribute to her late father on the anniversary of his death in the past, taking the occasion in 2021 to fundraise for various charities that held a special place in Paul's heart during his lifetime, including Toys for Tots.

"To honor my dad's legacy, we hope you'll join us to Do Good," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "From building schools, to advocating for ocean conservancy, to our annual scholarship, affecting positive change is at the heart of everything we do. We love and appreciate you."

Meadow's call to give back was not a one-off, either. Through the Paul Walker Foundation that Meadow established 2015, she has helped keep his giving spirit alive by supporting initiatives benefitting wildlife conservation and ocean protection, and awarding an annual scholarship benefitting a student aspiring to dedicate their lives to such disciplines.

Shonda Rhimes said she felt ill-equipped to deal with her early days of fame

The Grey's Anatomy creator spoke about her fear of being famous at the start of her TV career during a 92NY event in October

"It was really startling and shocking to me to be in a position where I was in a corner writing things for other people who should be famous, to discover that people wanted to talk to me or pay attention to me," Rhimes recalled

Shonda Rhimes felt ill-equipped to deal with her early days of fame.

During the Shonda Rhimes in Conversation with Robin Roberts: Year of Yes panel at 92NY in October, the television mogul, 55, opened up about when she first began to gain notoriety as a producer, soon after the premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

"It's so hard to do," Rhimes said of being in the public eye. "I mean, my job was to imagine things."

Challenging the audience to "name a TV showrunner or TV creator who you know their name on sight," she continued, "There's not that many."

"So it was really startling and shocking to me, to be in a position where I was in a corner writing things for other people who should be famous, to discover that people wanted to talk to me or pay attention to me," Rhimes added.

"It was like being stung by a thousand bees for me. It was really stressful," she further explained. "I just didn't have the equipment or the skill to get there."

The writer, who is responsible for hit TV shows including Scandal, Private Practice and more, said she eventually confronted her fears of fame by diving in headfirst.

"I really tried to do small things," she recalled. "I've always said, 'Do the thing that you're afraid of, because the act of doing it undoes the fear really strongly.' "

"I think my first yes was getting a commencement speech in front of 10,000 people, which sounded like the craziest thing I'd ever come up with," Rhimes continued.

According to the showrunner, another one of her first major public appearances came when she went on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

"I let myself go on television and just do the thing," she said. "It was terrifying the whole time. And yet, when I was done, I was like, 'Oh, that wasn't so bad.' "

"It was a lot of me reminding myself — the worst thing that could happen is that I'd fail. You know?" continued Rhimes. "But there are a million other things that can happen that are better than failure that could have happened."

She added, "So, if the worst thing that happens is that you fail, why not do it anyway?"

Shonda Rhimes on the set of 'Grey's Anatomy' in 2005.

With two decades of TV experience and fame under her belt, Rhimes said she feels more equipped now than she did at the beginning of her writing career.

"I get more and more comfortable every time, but I think the first time I did an interview where I felt like I was truly being myself was an interview for [the 2015 release of her book, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand in the Sun and Be Your Own Person] and it was with Oprah [Winfrey]," she recalled.

"I went to her house, I went to the Promised Land, which was the most intimidating thing in the world," continued Rhimes. "And I sat with her, and we did this interview."

According to the producer, that interview marked one of the first times that she truly felt comfortable in what she was saying.

"In that interview, for the first time, I'm just me," she said. "I'm not stressing over what I'm saying, I'm not rethinking everything in my head as I say it."

"I'm not so stressed that, like, I almost can't hear the questions, which was a thing," Rhimes added. "That has been a journey from there. Like, that was the first time I was comfortable, but it wasn't the last time I was a mess. ... We go back and forth — two steps forward, one step back."

SEOUL, Nov 30 (Reuters) - South Korea's biggest online retailer, Coupang, apologised on Sunday over the breach of personal information from 33.7 million customer accounts ‌through unauthorized data access.

"We sincerely apologise once again for causing our customers inconvenience," Park ‌Dae-jun, CEO of the firm dubbed the Amazon.com of South Korea, posted on its website.

The incident is the latest in a series of data leaks at major South Korean companies, including SK Telecom.

The government, which held an emergency meeting on Sunday,‌ is looking into whether Coupang violated safety rules regarding personal information protection, said Minister of Science and ICT Bae Kyung-‍hoon.

Coupang said on Saturday that it learned of the data breach on November 18 and reported it to authorities. It said it was working with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

The company, whose services are ubiquitous for many Koreans using its "Rocket" fast ‌deliveries, has said it had 24.7 million active commercial users in the third quarter.

Yonhap News Agency reported on Sunday that a Chinese former employee at Coupang was suspected of being behind the breach. Coupang sent a complaint to police this month, and police are investigating, Yonhap said, without citing the sources of its information.

Coupang could not immediately be reached for comment outside business hours.

The breach exposed customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses and certain order histories but not payment details or login credentials,‍ Coupang said.

The unauthorised access of personal information was believed to have started on June 24 through overseas servers, it said.

The government-run Korea Internet & Security Agency issued a public advisory for those affected by the breach, warning them about phishing scams.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Super Bowl pregame show will open with a trio of standout performers in Northern California: Charlie Puth will hit the stage to sing the national anthem, Brandi Carlile will take on "America the Beautiful" and Coco Jones will sing "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

The performances will take place Feb. 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, before the NFL's championship matchup and halftime show featuring Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, the league announced Sunday.

"These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world," said Jon Barker, senior vice president of global event production for the NFL.

The pregame performances will air on NBC, Telemundo and Peacock.

The national anthem and "Lift Every Voice and Sing" will be performed by deaf performing artist Fred Beam in American Sign Language. Julian Ortiz will sign "America the Beautiful."

In a historic first, the halftime show will include a multilingual signing program featuring Puerto Rican Sign Language, led by interpreter Celimar Rivera Cosme. All signed performances for the pregame and halftime shows will be presented in collaboration with Alexis Kashar of LOVE SIGN and Howard Rosenblum of Deaf Equality.

Puth is a four-time Grammy-nominated singer known for his songs "Attention," "We Don't Talk Anymore" and his 2015 breakout hit "See You Again," with Wiz Khalifa, from the "Furious 7" movie soundtrack. His appearance will come ahead of his fourth studio album "Whatever's Clever!" due on March 6.

Carlile has won 11 Grammys and won praise for her eighth studio album "Returning to Myself," which was released in October. She's nominated for two Grammys with Elton John for their album "Who Believes in Angels?" released in April and their song "Never Too Late" from his documentary film "Elton John: Never Too Late."

Jones is an R&B star who won a Grammy in the best R&B performance category for her song "ICU" in 2024 and released her debut album "Why Not More?" which is nominated for best R&B album at next year's ceremony. She also stars as Hilary Banks on Peacock's television series "Bel-Air," entering its last season.

"Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honored to have them — alongside our extraordinary deaf performers — on Super Bowl LX's world stage," said Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, which is producing the show with DPS and Jesse Collins. "This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance and our country."

While their Fortnite collaboration may be over, The Simpsons TV show is still very much going (and, presumably, will outlive us all). Season 37's most recent episode, "Aunt Misbehavin'' found Bart and Lisa taking sides in a bitter spat between Marge's twin sisters Patty and Selma.

But the episode begins with a feud between Bart and Homer, after Bart trolls his dental hygienist by devouring a box of triple-stuffed Oreo-like cookies immediately before his appointment. Homer then takes a power drill to Bart's Xbox, inspiring the boy to seek revenge.

Luckily for Bart, his Aunt Patty has a pre-conceived plan for how to brutally prank Homer. "Perhaps the enemy of my brother-in-law is my nephew," she muses to herself. Patty hacks into the DMV database by impersonating her newly-promoted sister and has Homer declared legally dead.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Homer has been declared deceased on the show, lest we forget that back in season seven, he pushed a lifelike dummy off a cliff into dangerously beaver-filled waters, just to avoid an afternoon of picking up trash with his co-workers.

But Homer was seemingly even more delighted by his most recent faux-demise. He was especially thrilled when Krusty the Clown dropped by the Simpson house to induct Marge into the Krusty Burger Widow's Free Fast Food For Life Club, flanked by late Krusty Burger mascots Burger Reynolds and Princess Fry.

"I should have died years ago!" Homer exclaims after learning that they'll have access to an unlimited supply of Krusty Burgers.

But arguably the funniest moment in the episode occurs during a montage of Homer reaping the rewards of his death, fittingly set to The Traveling Wilburys' "End of the Line." After celebrating the erasure of his debts, Homer takes a nap in a hammock and is quickly surrounded by a team of organ donor collectors. But before they have a chance to help themselves to any of his body parts, one of the medics has a heart attack and collapses. The others simply shrug and take him away in a body bag instead of Homer.

It should be noted that legendary character actor Stephen Tobolowsky deserves praise for his Simpsons debut as the proudly lame credit card point junkie Merle, who hooks up with Selma. Also, there's a solid joke about Mr. Burns' inadvertently smutty vanity license plate.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard were taken aback by their daughters' reaction to the film they made while falling in love.

"Our kids rarely show interest in us as — anyone with kids knows — but they did want to see this movie we made, because we're very much in love," Shepard shared on a recent joint appearance alongside Bell on *Jimmy Kimmel Live*. "I mean, we're childless, and we had nothing to do but love each other."

Bell explained that she and Shepard, who would marry the year after the release of 2012's *Hit & Run*, "spent all this time making this independent film, and daddy wrote it and directed it, and they were like, 'We want to see it." And we hadn't watched it in forever. We were like, 'Okay, let's watch it with you.'"

What happened next surprised them both.**

"They loved it," Shepard reported. While acknowledging that the action comedy about a professor and former getaway driver who hit the road is "so inappropriate," Shepard shared that his daughters with Bell, 10-year-old Delta and 12-year-old Lincoln, "have a good sense of humor" and "like seeing us in love and kind of young."

What they did not like, however, was seeing their parents break up on screen.

"They were very upset, and what made me so happy is they were mad at mom, not me," Shepard joked. "They thought mom was a bitch, and they thought daddy was a good boy with a bad past."

Bell and Shepard are currently promoting a 13-year-old film because of its arrival for the first time on Netflix.

"Taylor told us it's cool to take back ownership of your old material," Bell joked on *Kimmel*, referencing pop superstar Taylor Swift's recent effort to rerecord and rerelease in an effort to gain control of the master recordings, which had been sold by the new owner of her old record label, Scooter Braun.

Tessa Thompson, currently in theaters with Nia DaCosta's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's *Hedda Gabler *(simply called *Hedda*), hasn't lost sight of being part of one of the most profitable media franchises of all time — the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While speaking with * *at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, she was asked, "What is Valkyrie's future in the MCU?" Valkyrie, if you recall, is an Asgardian warrior who made appearances in *Thor: Ragnarok* and *Thor: Love and Thunder*, as well as *Avengers: Endgame *and *The Marvels*, which DaCosta directed.

Her response to the query was to chuckle and say, "call Kevin Feige," referring to the primary producer and grand visionary behind the complex web of Marvel films and television shows.

"I really like playing the character, and I like her," she said about Valkyrie, and certainly seemed to be open to it if she were asked to "assemble" once more.

She added that "what's so fun about those films and why there is still an audience appetite is the combination of characters, and how they change in relation to each other. So there's tons of things I love about Valkyrie, but it's about Valkyrie in relation to *who*."

She also expressed interest in "the idea of getting to play with my friend Pedro Pascal," who made his MCU debut this summer as Reed Richards in *Fantastic Four: First Steps. *"It's real playtime, and exploring that with people you admire," she said of what remains the big draw. "You stretch different muscles, it's really fun."

She specifically mentioned seeing Natalie Portman return to the *Thor* movies and getting to see Christian Bale, who played Gorr the God Butcher in *Thor: Love and Thunder*.

"I love watching actors, I love seeing people work... under different circumstances. It's a fun playground."

The real Marvel heads know that Thompson's Valkyrie has not only appeared in the aforementioned feature films but also in two alternate-universe animated television series. The first was *What If...?*, which often turned a silly question like "What if... Happy Hogan saved Christmas?" into an episode,* *and the second was *Marvel Zombies*, in which the heroes of the Marvel Universe fought the undead.

*Hedda*, meanwhile, also stars Imogen Poots, Nina Hoss, and Tom Bateman, and moves the story from late 19th-century Norway to an English country estate in the 1950s. It boasts a substantial 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. As the film is produced by Plan B (Brad Pitt's company), don't be too surprised if DaCosta, Thompson, and the film all get bona fide awards pushes as we close out the year.

Wicked: For Good and Zootopia 2

- *Zootopia 2 *topped the Thanksgiving weekend box office with an astounding $156 million domestic gross and an additional $400 million abroad.

- *Wicked: For Good*, last weekend's big winner, fell to the No. 2 spot on both charts, but still scared up $62.8 million domestically in its second weekend.

- It isn't likely any title on next weekend's release calendar has the power to topple both *Wicked *and *Zootopia*, but one contender is horror sequel *Five Nights at Freddy's 2*.

If *Wicked: For Good *was going to fall from box office grace after only one week at the top spot, at least Elphaba will be glad that it was because of a bunch of talking animals.

*Zootopia 2 *ran wild at the box office this Thanksgiving weekend, topping the domestic chart with $156 million (including Wednesday and Thursday previews) and the international chart with $400 million, making for a staggering cumulative premiere gross of $556 million globally, per Comscore.

That represented a decisive victory against its big sequel competitor, which would have run roughshod over any other new release this season. *Wicked: For Good *still fared quite well, conjuring up a bounteous $62.8 million in its second weekend domestically ($93 million when expanded to five days). That makes for a 57 percent drop from its $150 million premiere last weekend, but there's no doubt this film has legs that will confidently walk it all the way through the holidays.

Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), Gary De'Snake (Ke Huy Quan), and Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) in 'Zootopia 2'

Featuring the voices of stars like Shakira, Quinta Brunson, and Macaulay Culkin, *Zootopia 2 *likely performed so exceedingly well due to the relative recent dearth of family films on the release calendar. Before this weekend, the only studio to release animated family fare into theaters this month was Universal, and it was a limited, 25th anniversary re-release of 2000's *Chicken Run*.

*Zootopia 2 *not only bested *Wicked*'s thrillifying conclusion at the box office this weekend, but it far surpassed the proceeds from its predecessor's premiere. *Zootopia *opened to $75 million in 2016. Even taking out the preview revenue, *Zootopia 2 *still earned $96.8 million at the Thanksgiving box office. With a global start in excess of half a million, the sequel is on track to blow past the first film's global end-run of $1 billion.

Elsewhere on the domestic and global charts, two holdovers proved their staying power. ****

*Now You See Me: Now You Don't* held fast to the No. 3 spot domestically with a week three take of $7 million, dropping only 22 percent from last week. That's after a reduction of 311 screens, too. In No. 4, *Predator Badlands *turned in a remarkably similar performance, dropping only 27 percent in week four with a $4.8 million take, but adding up to $85 million cumulatively, where the illusionist thriller threequel currently boasts $49.6 million overall at the domestic box office.

In the weekend's other new premieres, A24's afterlife rom-com *Eternity *scored a strong $5.2 million on its estimated $2 million budget, and Chloe Zhao's Oscar hopeful *Hamnet *earned $1.3 million in its one-weekend limited release.

Next week, *Zootopia 2 *and *Wicked: For Good *will likely block any would-be usurpers at the box office.

*Hamnet* opens wide, but given its scaling, subject matter, and targeting of awards voters, rather than general audiences, the chances of it leaping to No. 1 are virtually impossible. What may stand a chance, albeit a slim one, is Universal and Blumhouse's *Five Nights at Freddy's 2*.

The animatronic horror with a slight bend towards kids arrives in the long shadow cast by the first film's gangbusters debut. In 2023, *Five Nights at Freddy's *became a Halloween weekend hit with an $80 million premiere, resulting in a lifetime global gross of $291.5 million. Box office watchers will have to wait to find out if horror is the correct wedge to disrupt what looks from here to be *Wicked *and *Zootopia*'s assured dominance in the first weekend of December.

"I struggle with confidence," Fraser admitted in a candid new interview

Is it a coincidence that Brendan Fraser plays a struggling actor in his new movie?

Rental Family (in theaters now), from writer-director Hikari, stars Fraser, 56, as an American actor working odd jobs in Tokyo, Japan. As the 2023 Best Actor Oscar winner joked to the in a recent interview, the role may have served as a reminder: "Don't get too comfortable. It can happen to me."

"I struggle with confidence," Fraser admitted. "I always have the feeling of not being good enough. Believe me, no one can be harder on me than me. No critic, no pithy internet comment can be more biting to me than myself in my private thoughts."

That's despite making a lauded comeback for his Oscar-winning performance in The Whale. "I grapple with overcoming that," said the actor, recalling one of the two times he hosted Saturday Night Live. Producer Lorne Michaels, he recalled, told him, "'You know, it's all about confidence.' I don't know if that psyched me up or not."

He added: "Forget everything you know and just own it. Can you do that is the question, the eternal one."

Did becoming an Oscar winner change Fraser? "Honestly, I was kind of floating during that whole time without an agent," he said. "I was looking for that unicorn project that hadn't been made into oblivion. I ended up: What is a rental family? Which dog do you like at the pound? I like the one with four teeth and one tweaky eye."

Hikari, the filmmaker behind Rental Family, "gave me the opportunity to kind of dovetail from whatever happens in the vacuum after you experience a recognition like that," he recalled. "It was a moment of: I guess things are going to be a little different going forward."

Retreating from Hollywood for a gig that required immersing himself in Japanese culture, Fraser added, "was personally what I needed. I wanted to remove myself from whatever this place is, just for a while."

Among Fraser's upcoming roles are Dwight D. Eisenhower in war drama Pressure and a return to The Mummy movies. Of reuniting with Rachel Weisz in Universal Pictures' monster franchise, Fraser teased to AP, "the one I wanted to make is forthcoming. And I've been waiting 20 years for this call… It's time to give the fans what they want."

Rental Family, costarring Mari Yamamoto, Takehiro Hira, Shannon Mahina Gorman and Akira Emoto, is in theaters now.
