The Chicago Sky have fired head coach Teresa Weatherspoon less than a year after hiring her to the helm of the Windy City's WNBA franchise. The Sky's biggest star, Angel Reese, posted to social media that she was 'heartbroken' over the news of Weatherspoon's firing. After being hired in October 2023, Weatherspoon led Chicago to a 13-27 record, one spot shy of the WNBA playoffs. 'I'm heartbroken. I'm literally lost for words knowing what this women meant to me in such a pivotal point in my life,' Reese said.
