- *Scary Movie 6 *is a "a rebooquel" that picks up 26 years after the original film.

- Marlon and Shawn Wayans return, along with Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, and a mix of old favorites and new faces.

- The film hits theaters on Friday, June 12.

A sixth *Scary Movie* is fast approaching.

The upcoming film marks the first time the Wayans brothers have returned to the franchise since *Scary Movie 2*, with Marlon, Shawn, and Keenan Ivory teaming up to write the new installment. Marlon recently told ** he came back for three reasons: the end of the Weinstein era, a push from their dad, Howell Stouten Wayans, to get the brothers working together again, and God telling him, "This is what you should be doing."

"I got me and my brothers together to come back to a franchise that we were removed from," he said. "I think the assignment is to bring back the cast, bring back me and my brothers working together, and to bring back big-ass laughs. The world needs a big-ass laugh."

Here's everything you need to know about *Scary Movie 6*, including which original stars are coming back for the new chapter.

What is *Scary Movie 6 *about?

Ghostface in 'Scary Movie'

Ghostface in 'Scary Movie'.

Paramount Pictures

*Scary Movie 6 *picks up 26 years after Shorty (Marlon Wayans), Ray (Shawn Wayans), Cindy (Anna Faris), and Brenda (Regina Hall) narrowly escaped Ghostface.

"The Core Four are back in the killer's crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe," the synopsis reads. They "reunite in *Scary Movie *alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every 'final chapter' that absolutely isn't final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed."

'Scary Movie' star Regina Hall wonders if movie could be made now, says comedy has changed

Regina Hall and Anna Faris star in 'Scary Movie' in 2000

Marlon told EW that *Scary Movie 6* isn't just "a complete reboot, starting back where we began the franchise in 2000." It's actually what he calls "a rebooquel."

"This movie is multi-generational. It's a conversation comedically that is needed, that needs to be had from our generation down to … Gen Alpha. And it's all inclusive," he said.

Is there a *Scary Movie 6 *trailer?

Yes, the *Scary Movie 6 *official trailer arrived on Monday, March 2. The first few seconds throw us into a New York City subway (a nod to *Scream 6*) packed with nods to iconic horror villains new and old: Jason from *Friday the 13th*, Leatherface from *Texas Chainsaw Massacre*, the titular killer from *Heart Eyes*, and the campy robot doll from *M3GAN*, to name a few.

M3GAN starts dancing toward a character played by Sydney Park before ripping off its costume to reveal (you guessed it) it's Ghostface.

Then Marlon, back as the stoner Shorty, leans into the camera and declares, "We baaaaaack!"

Fans also see Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks finally reunite. Cindy, looking like a frazzled, older Laurie Strode, doesn't think it's a good idea to hug Brenda, who's decked out in an oversized cardigan and a bob that wouldn't be out of place on Octavia Spencer's Ma.

Ray, the last of the core four, finally shows up at Brenda's house during a *Sinners *parody, where a trio crash a Halloween party by spoofing Jack O'Connell's Remmick and his vampire crew.

From there, the trailer goes all-in on the chaos and laughs. Cindy gets lewd with Ghostface and hits a creepy-smiling guy straight out of *Smile*, while Shorty ends up trapped in a *Get Out*-style nightmare. A young kid also gets thrown into space in a *Weapons *parody, Hanson (Chris Elliott) channels Nicolas Cage in *Longlegs*, and in a riff on *Terrifier*, a group of kids open "presents" from Art the Clown, only to find severed body parts.

Marlon told EW the goal of *Scary Movie 6 *was simple: "What we're trying to do is bring back laughter. This is about bringing back comedy the way it used to be. And I think the only way to do it is you have to cancel the cancel culture," he said, adding, "We're gonna do what we always do. We're gonna make fun of everybody because we're equal opportunity offenders. … We like to be fearless. Yet still do things with kid gloves to let people laugh at themselves."

Reflecting on the shoot, Marlon said, "We laughed all the way through. We let everyone have fun, we let them improvise, and you're gonna see it all over this movie."

Who's in the cast of Scary Movie 6?

Chris Elliott as Hanson parodying Longlegs in 'Scary Movie 6'

Paramount Pictures

Several familiar faces are back for *Scary Movie 6*.

Marlon and Shawn Wayans return as Shorty and Ray, respectively, while Faris and Hall are be back as onscreen besties Cindy and Brenda. "We can't wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon — three men we'd literally die for (in Brenda's case, again)," the actresses said in a statement to EW.

Other franchise vets returning include Elliott as Hanson, Lochlyn Munro as Greg Phillippe, Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore, and Cheri Oteri as Gail Hailstorm.

Newcomers joining the *Scary Movie *universe include Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Gregg Wayans, and *Saturday Night Live *alum Heidi Gardner.

Joining them are Sydney Park (*The Walking Dead*), Olivia Rose Keegan (*Days of Our Lives*), Cameron Scott Roberts (*Chicago Fire*), Savannah Lee Nassif (*Julie and the Phantoms*), Benny Zielke, and Ruby Snowber.

Is there a *Scary Movie 6 *release date?

Jon Abrahams as Bobby Prinze in 'Scary Movie 6'

Jon Abrahams as Bobby Prinze in 'Scary Movie 6'.

Paramount Pictures

*Scary Movie 6 *slashes its way into theaters on Friday, June 12.

Where can I watch Scary Movie?

Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time, *12 Angry Men* hardly needs an introduction. Yet, it's remarkable how relevant this courtroom drama remains in its portrayal of debate, confirmation bias, and morality. The film takes place almost entirely in one location, a jury deliberation room, where 12 jurors must decide on a verdict in a case involving an 18-year-old accused of murdering his father. While 11 of the 12 men come to a quick agreement on the teen's guilt, Juror 8 (Henry Fonda) isn't so sure, leading to a riveting debate enhanced by director Sidney Lumet's genius camerawork. —*Kevin Jacobsen*

We've seen numerous movies explore male midlife crises, but this Oscar-winning dramedy from writer-director Thomas Vinterberg provides a fresh perspective. The Danish film follows four teacher friends who add flavor to their listless lives with an odd experiment: try to maintain a blood alcohol level of 0.05 percent at all times for maximum creativity and relaxation. While the colleagues commit to the same drinking schedule, the results vary as one of them develops a troubling addiction. EW's critic calls *Another Round* "an intoxicated tale of midlife angst and catharsis," anchored by Mads Mikkelsen in one of his best performances. —*K.J.*

The Babadook (2014)

"If it's in a word, or it's in a look, you can't get rid of the Babadook." This chilling rhyme, read from a pop-up book called Mister Babadook, could also apply to our feelings on the film itself. It's hard to forget Jennifer Kent's feature directorial debut, which explores a widow's grief as she struggles to raise her son — while also contending with a mysterious humanoid monster that insists on tormenting them.

Critics were rapturous in their praise for *The Babadook*, with special mentions for its layered portrayal of horror and grief, as well as Essie Davis' central performance. As EW's critic writes, "In an age when horror movies have mostly become lazy and toothless, here's one with ambition and bite." As if that weren't enough, let's not ignore the fact that Babadook himself has reached gay icon status. —*K.J.*

There's depressing cinema, and then there's *Blue Valentine*, a bleak yet powerfully performed drama about the highs and lows of a marriage. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams star as Dean and Cindy, a couple raising their young daughter in New York while trying to reconcile their fractured relationship. Flashbacks to their courtship reveal the magnetic romantic charge that brought them together, while also demonstrating how that intensity would ultimately curdle into acrimony. As EW's critic writes, "*Blue Valentine* is lushly touching and gorgeously told. By the time the film is over, you may feel that you know every inch of these lives." —*K.J.*

The 2025 British series *Adolescence* has wowed critics and audiences with its conceit of each episode comprising a single take, but star Stephen Graham was already quite familiar with this approach thanks to *Boiling Point*. This anxiety-riddled drama is set in an upscale restaurant, as head chef Andy Jones (Graham) juggles various personal and professional responsibilities — including a devastating audit — over the course of a chaotic night. The use of only one take makes for a highly immersive experience that will resonate with anyone who's ever had a particularly bad day at work. —*K.J.*

This genre-bending classic pairs two of the most charismatic stars of their era, Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, in a twisty thrill ride. Hepburn plays Reggie, an American in Paris who learns her husband has been murdered. What follows is a complex web of mistrust and deception as she discovers he was involved in a shady business deal, and a group of criminals is after his money. And can she rely on the fellow American (Grant) she just met, who wants to help her? *Charade* raises the question of who Reggie can trust, but also who the audience should as well. —*K.J.*

Coffy, an ER nurse who becomes a vigilante to take revenge on the men who got her young sister hooked on heroin. After succeeding in her mission, Coffy continues to use her particular set of skills by targeting other dangerous men in her community, kicking butt and taking names along the way. Some films take their time to become classics. This dark comedy mockumentary about the cutthroat world of beauty pageants had a mixed reception from critics in 1999, but its razor-sharp satire has helped it age like fine wine. Set in a small Minnesota town, the film follows a group of teen girls (and their mothers) as they do whatever it takes for a chance to compete in the national Sarah Rose Cosmetics American Teen Princess Pageant. *The Worst Person in the World* plays like one of those great romantic comedies that start off charming, only to sneak up on you with the emotional weight and authenticity of its depiction of modern relationships by its conclusion. The Norwegian film unfolds through 12 chapters of med student Julie's (Renate Reinsve) life as she tries to figure out what she wants, falling in and out of love. Her relationship with a comic artist 15 years her senior leaves an indelible mark on her life.

Joachim Trier's film may be classified as a rom-com (with admittedly heavy dramatic undertones), but it deftly plays with tropes of the genre to provide a fresh experience for the audience. EW's critic writes, "It vibrates with real life, a film so fresh and untethered to rom-com cliché it might actually reshape the idea of what movies like this can be." —*K.J.*

In honor of the Coldplay frontman's 49th birthday, his daughter Apple Martin, 21, shared a touching tribute on her Instagram Stories featuring a few pictures of them over the years. In the first post, she shared a snap of the two of them sitting next to each other with bright smiles on their faces.

"My hero's birthday ❤️," she wrote over the photo.

In another post, Apple shared several more snaps with her dad and her brother Moses, 19, calling him the "coolest dad in the world."

"Coolest dad in the world," she wrote. "I love you more than anything."

The "Speed of Sound" rocker and his ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, welcomed their two children during their 13-year marriage. Despite their split, they have maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship.

Last March, Paltrow sent some birthday love to Chris, complete with photos of the dad of two hanging out with their kids. In the first picture, the "Yellow" crooner sat alongside Apple and leaned his head affectionately on hers. Chris appeared pensive in the sunny shot, while Apple posed with her head resting in her hand.

In the second photo, a father-son shot, Chris sat at a piano with Moses. The duo both had their heads down, seemingly out of concentration, in the sweet picture.

"Happy Birthday to the man that gave me these beautiful, wonderful human beings," Paltrow captioned the post. "We💚you, Chris."

Ford gave Flockhart a sweet shout-out during an emotional speech as he accepted SAG-AFTRA's annual Lifetime Achievement Award at Sunday's ceremony

Harrison Ford says he follows a simple — but important — rule in his marriage with wife Calista Flockhart.

The 83-year-old actor opened up about the pair's relationship at the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 1. In a red-carpet interview with E! News, Ford revealed, "I don't tell my wife what to do."

That applies to both their home life and careers. Addressing whether Flockhart, 61, might make a future appearance on his Apple TV show Shrinking, he explained, "That would be up to her."

During Sunday's awards ceremony, Ford was honored with SAG-AFTRA's annual Lifetime Achievement Award. He delivered an emotional, eight-minute-long acceptance speech onstage that had both him and his wife teary-eyed.

"Sometimes we make entertainment; sometimes we make art. Sometimes we're lucky to make 'em both at the same time, and if we're really fortunate, we also get to make a living doing it," he said as he reflected on his decades-long acting career, later adding, "I'm indeed a lucky guy. Lucky to have found my people, lucky to have work that challenges me, lucky to still be doing it. And I don't take that for granted."

Ford went on to thank his "extraordinary, beautiful wife" Flockhart and his family, "who have given me love and courage through all of it."

Flockhart, who was seated in the audience, could be seen crying as she listened to her husband's speech.

She and Ford met at the 2002 Golden Globes and tied the knot eight years later in 2010. They will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary in June.

Last year, the Indiana Jones star opened up about his romance with the Ally McBeal alum during an August 2025 appearance on NPR's Wild Card with Rachel Martin. During the conversation, he also shared what age has taught him about love, telling Martin, "Old people can love, too."

"You know, you think about falling in love and all of that business," Ford continued. "You think it's the business of youth or something, you know, and staying in love is the issue. Maintaining, nurturing, basically, not f---ing up."

He noted that couples in relationships have to "work on that every day," quipping, "With some days off for bad behavior."

When asked how long he and Flockhart had been married, Ford replied, "If you ask me, I would say all my life. I was married for the first time at 23 years of age, which should be illegal," referring to his first marriage to ex-wife Mary Marquardt.

Early into his relationship with the Brothers & Sisters actress, Ford reflected on finding love again in a 2003 interview with Hello!, saying, "Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life. I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn't surprised that I did."

Charli D'Amelio poked fun at a viral 2020 clip in a new post to TikTok on March 1

In the old video, D'Amelio playfully said she wished she "had more time" to be able to reach 100 million TikTok followers exactly a year after reaching a million, to which creator James Charles responded, "Was the 95 [million] not enough for you?"

"It's time to admit, yeah, it would have been cool to hit a hundred million after hitting a million," D'Amelio said in her latest TikTok

Charli D'Amelio can now laugh at her past viral moments.

In a TikTok posted on Sunday, March. 1, the content creator referenced a 2020 YouTube video she made with her parents and sister Dixie in which she playfully lamented that it was going to be slightly more than a year between when she reached 1 million and 100 million followers on the platform.

"Ugh, I wish I had more time," she said in the old viral clip. "'Cause imagine if I hit 100 mil a year after hitting a mil."

"Was the 95 [million] not enough for you?" responded beauty influencer James Charles, who was a guest in the video.

"Well, I was just, like, saying, even numbers," said Charli, laughing.

In Charli's new TikTok, she sarcastically addressed the 2020 video, saying, "It's time to admit, yeah, it would have been cool to hit a hundred million after hitting a million. It would have been really f---ing cool. Can you say that you did that? No. Neither can I."

At the time, the 2020 video — a recorded family dinner — also drew criticism for the way that Charli and Dixie reacted to food prepared by chef Aaron May (Charli made faces while May described the meal, and Dixie made gagging noises before running outside to throw up).

Both sisters addressed the backlash at the time on their respective social media pages. In an Instagram Live, Charli called the incident a "misunderstanding" and said it was "not okay" that people were "blatantly disrespecting her." Dixie said in a TikTok video that the situation was "ridiculously blown out of proportion," adding that her family had been working with May for several months and had an "amazing friendship."

In a 2025 interview with PEOPLE, Charli reflected on those early years of content creation, remembering that it was "incredibly difficult to kind of balance being authentic and also having self-confidence."

At the time, she said she was dealing with "pretty severe" cystic acne, which she said added to her anxiety. For instance, she recalled an old interview clip where she was asked how she felt comfortable being online and posting my face with all of the flaws.

"I thought that that was so interesting because my response to that — and I was so young when I said this — was, 'Well, it's my face,' " she said. "I still stand by that. I wake up every day to this face and there's nothing that I can do to change it."

Charli has since shown off her dance moves on Dancing with the Stars, taking home the Mirrorball Trophy in 2022. And in 2024, the influencer made her Broadway debut in & Juliet, which was later extended through 2025.
