Police have arrested a 25-year-old man they allege lured a girl nearly half his age to a Cairns hotel room before drugging and raping her. Port Douglas man James Charles Brown allegedly used social media to arrange to meet with the 13-year-old girl on Friday. A family member alerted police to the alleged meeting when she became aware of it. Police immediately launched an investigation and officers attached to the tactical crime squad found the pair later that evening.
