After the Bad Teacher actress and the Good Charlotte guitarist got married in 2015, they welcomed their first child, Raddix, in December 2019. In March 2024, they announced the birth of their second baby, and first son, Cardinal. The news came as a surprise to fans, who didn't know the couple were expecting. "We are feeling so blessed and grateful 🍀Sending much love from our fam to yours 🙏❤️," Diaz and Madden wrote in a joint Instagram post announcing Cardinal's birth.
