Three people were killed and two others were injured when a boat capsized off of New York Sunday on Sunday. Authorities received reports of a 'vessel in distress' and an 'overturned boat' with five people in the Ambrose Channel - which separates Staten Island from New Jersey and Brooklyn - at around noon, Gothamist reports. FDNY, NYPD and the Coast Guard then removed several people from the frigid water, and rushed them to a nearby hospital, according to ABC 7.
