Japan's royal family, the oldest continuous hereditary monarchy, has launched an updated website amid its succession crisis. The new site, which has been in the works for some time, comes months after the family launched an Instagram account, some 15 years after Britain's first royals did the same. Japan's royals are currently facing an extinction crisis because women still aren't allowed to take the throne, and female births have outweighed male births in recent generations.
