Boise State women's volleyball team have sensationally forfeited its championship semifinal against San Jose State amid controversy over the Spartans' transgender star Blaire Fleming. The Broncos twice refused to play against San Jose State during the regular season and the teams were due to meet again in the postseason on Friday. Boise State beat Utah State to book its place in the last four of the Mountain West championship. Rather than chase a spot in the NCAA championship, however, the team announced it was pulling out of the game.
