AN alleged Costco future-teller has peered into his crystal ball and claims customers may pay more for a fan-favorite product.

In a TikTok, a self-described "oracle of Costco" said the brand's rotisserie chicken may see a price hike.

A TikToker said he believes the price will change – The U.S. Sun could not confirm the claim[/caption]

Costco's rotisserie chicken offering is famously $4.99.

The big-box brand has kept the price of the grocery staple the same since 2009.

However, a TikToker (@oldjewishmen) claimed the prices are set to change for good in a video.

Speaking over the ominous tones of a spooky, atmospheric piano medley, the avid shopper claimed the price of the chicken would rise to $6.99 in the next 12 months.

Costco representatives weren't available to comment immediately on this story.

The U.S. Sun was not able to confirm any potential pricing changes – the TikTok video remains purely speculative.

However, the shopper claimed he has a noted history of predictions around the company – he tells TikTokers he foretold the discontinuation of the Polish hot dog and the recent clamp-down on Costco membership cards.

"This man knows too much," one commenter jokingly said on the video.

A historic precedent in the US's current chicken market may impact meat prices.

Millions of American birds have been killed to stop the spread of this year's strand of avian flu.

The CDC calls this year's bird flu "highly pathogenic."

Government officials are also worried as dozens of cows have contracted the flu from birds.

Flu concerns have added to the numerous external factors contributing to continuing inflation at the grocery store.

Food prices have remained persistently high despite the federal government's attempts to reduce costs for American consumers.

Even with the increased cost pressures, commenters claimed Costco already loses money on the chicken dinners.

They speculated the prices may not change despite the poultry headwinds.

"Costco already loses money on the chicken for $5," a commenter said.

"They don't make profit of it."

Another commenter said the rotisserie prices are a bit higher in Canada.

However, the weaker Canadian Dollar may be the reason for the country's price discrepancy, another person pointed out.

"To be fair, $7 Canadian is roughly $5 American," they added.
