DramaAlert, the X, previously Twitter, web page run by Keemstar, released a press release on Monday claiming the social media character died from problems from a pulmonary embolism.
The web page claimed it might briefly halt posting to mourn Keemstar, real identify Daniel Keem's demise.
Nevertheless, hours later, Keem uploaded a publish on X saying it was all an April Fools' joke.
"Hope everybody had a fun April Fools. I've rejoined staff alive," Keem posted, sharing a selfie with a thumbs up.
Now, a number of of Keem's followers are calling the YouTuber insensitive for his cruel joke.

Keem was also criticized on social media for chiming in on streamer Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa's reside stream, the place she claimed she was trapped in an abusive relationship.
Amouranth accused her husband of abusing her by forcing her to stream and father or mother that she was single.
Keem responded to her video, saying he believed Amouranth was being abused earlier than calling her a scammer.
"Amouranth herself has scammed so many guys online claiming she was single for years," Keem stated in 2022 in a since-deleted X publish.
"These twitch streamers don't care about their viewers. They all just use you & your low IQs to fill their pockets."
After receiving backlash, Keem deleted his thread and defended his actions by posting, "simply making the point that content material creators shouldn't misinform their fanbase for money."
