The Vanity Fair Oscars Party is always full of stars, but the 2026 celebration felt like a warm family reunion for Kate Hudson. The actress was joined by her loved ones to celebrate a massive year for cinema. Among the crowd, her 22-year-old son, Ryder Robinson, stood out as her biggest fan. In a touching moment on the red carpet, he shared exactly how much his mother's success means to him.

Kate Hudson's son gushes over mom's hard work and dedication at Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Ryder Robinson is all grown up and taller than his famous mother, even when she is wearing high heels. While chatting with ET's Denny Directo, Robinson couldn't stop praising Hudson. He looked back at her long career and the effort she still puts into every role. "I've never been more proud of my mother," he said with a big smile. He explained that he has seen her work up close more than anyone else has.

Robinson noted that his mother's success did not happen by accident. He told the reporter, "She's really put in more work and more dedication and more time than I've ever seen in my life." He called her journey a "beautiful thing" to watch. The night was extra special because the whole family was there together. Robinson mentioned it was a true "family night" and he was happy to be part of the celebration.

The interview also took a trip down memory lane. The reporter reminded Robinson of an interview he did when he was just a little boy during the Kung Fu Panda 3 press tour. Robinson laughed and mentioned that a photo from that old interview even ended up on one of his birthday cakes!

Now that he is 22, he is thinking about his own future. He admitted that he wants to enter the entertainment business too. However, he knows it won't be easy. "I have big shoes to fill," he said, referring to his mom and his grandmother, Goldie Hawn.

Hudson eventually joined her son on the carpet to share the love. She looked proud as she stood next to him. Hudson explained that they come from a "family of storytellers" and that they simply love what they do. It was clear that the bond between mother and son is stronger than ever. For Robinson, the night wasn't just about the glitz and glamour of the Oscars; it was about honoring the woman who worked so hard to get there.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to introduce Peter Parker's next chapter, the long-awaited follow-up will finally continue the story left hanging in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton spoke about the upcoming project at CinemaCon in March 2025. "I'm spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world," he said, per Marvel.com. "We're all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven't really seen before."

Filming has been underway since August, and Tom Holland is set to reprise his beloved leading role. On September 21, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that production on the Marvel feature stopped temporarily after Holland suffered a mild concussion on set. But filming resumed the following week, after the actor shared that he was "on the mend" in an Instagram post.

Ahead, read everything we know about the friendly neighborhood hero's return to the big screen.

When will Spider-Man: Brand New Day come out?

The fourth installment of Holland's solo Spider-Man franchise will hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

What will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be about?

In Brand New Day, it seems that Parker will try to move forward in the aftermath of No Way Home.

Holland hinted at the events of the new film in a pre-recorded video played at CinemaCon. "I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That's all I can say," Holland teased, per Entertainment Weekly.

In addition to Holland, returning cast members include Zendaya as Michelle "MJ" Jones, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, who first appeared in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

One newcomer who's been generating buzz is Stranger Things star Sadie Sink. While Marvel has kept quiet about her role, her casting immediately ignited speculation online, especially because of her signature red hair.

Sink played coy when asked about the theories surrounding her character in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "A lot of people forget that hair color can change, but yeah, I understand all of the theories," she told the publication in November. Still, she offered no clues about who she'll portray. "People will just have to wait and see," she added. "I'm excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest."

Other confirmed castmates, who are either new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or just breaking into Holland's solo franchise, include:

Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and his alter ego, The Hulk—a veteran in the MCU, but a fresh recruit in the latest Spider-Man film series.

Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher, who previously appeared in Netflix's Daredevil series as well as the Disney+ shows The Punisher and Daredevil: Born Again.

Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone, who was voiced by Jones in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Bearactress Liza Colón-Zayas, whose role has not been revealed yet.

Severance's Tramell Tillman, who dodged a question about his classified character in an October interview with Variety. "Well, you know, I can't say too much about that. I am enjoying my time filming Spider-Man," he said.

Wynonna Earp star Melanie Scrofano, who confirmed her casting in an Instagram post without sharing information about her part.

Can I watch a trailer yet?

Yes! The official trailer for the movie arrived on Wednesday, March 18. In it, Peter Parker grapples with seeing MJ move on without him and struggles with his physical abilities.

"Hi, my name is Peter Parker," Holland narrates the trailer. "You don't remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me, because I'm not just Peter Parker. I'm Spider-Man. But sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter's heart."

Peter isn't just nursing a broken heart, either—his spider abilities are put to the test as he finds himself between cycles, making him vulnerable in the process. Peter asks for help from Dr. Banner and appears to have some allies left, but is faced with threat after threat before he restores his full power.

Timothée Chalamet has recently garnered attention for all the wrong reasons. After losing out on the Oscar for Best Actor for his driven performance in Marty Supreme, he is reportedly trying to figure out fame, pressure, and the scrutiny that comes with being the main man. In this pursuit, industry veteran Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly helping the young star.

Leonardo DiCaprio is trying to help Timothée Chalamet, sources suggest

Timothée Chalamet garnered immense negative attention after his take on "ballet and opera" went viral. Other celebrities were quick to call him out for the statement, and Chalamet ultimately ended up losing the Best Actor award at the Oscars to Michael B. Jordan.

Sources have now revealed that his co-nominee in the Best Actor category, and a true industry veteran, Leonardo DiCaprio, is quietly trying to help the 30-year-old.

"Timothée is extremely talented," one insider said (via Rob Shuter), adding, "But if he wants a long career, it's time for him to grow up." The person explained, "Leo understands the game,…Protect the work, stay professional, and don't let the circus become the story."

DiCaprio was known for avoiding dramas that quickly derailed the careers of other young actors, and he has become a blueprint of sorts for other young stars. Leo's approach to acting has ensured that he has remained in the industry as a main man for a very long time.

Sources also note that Chalamet has spoken with DiCaprio, but many aren't convinced he learned a lesson. "He says he's talked to Leo," the insider added, "But it's not clear he's actually listening."

Chalamet has the talent to become like Leonardo DiCaprio, perhaps even better, but insiders worry that he lacks the attitude to sustain a long career. The person further added, "Timothée has the talent to have a 40-year career…But only if he learns how to handle the spotlight."

With all the Toyota sponsorship surrounding Survivor 50, and Boston Rob Mariano posting ads on social media with the car company, it appears as if the car giveaway may indeed return on the anniversary installment. That would make for the first Survivor car reward in 36 seasons, since Yau-Man Chan and Dreamz Herd made their infamous deal in Survivor: Fiji — the last instance of the infamous Survivor car curse.

But might we also see the return of another long-gone Survivor classic — the Loved Ones visit? Our last Loved Ones visit occurred back on season 40, Winners at War, and it was a supersized affair, with entire families showing up. And not just for players still in the game, but for ones stuck on the Edge of Extinction as well.

But to paraphrase yacht rock aficionados Air Supply, the new era of Survivor has been all out of love. In-person visits have been replaced with letters from home. But if the Loved Ones ever were to return in some form, it would seem that the anniversary installment of season 50 would be the time to do it.

Exclusive video, interviews, breaking news, games, polls, and more!

Which begs the question: Do the Loved Ones visits actually make you cry? When Jeremy Collins' wife Val showed up and told him their unborn child was a boy, did that make you weep? When Shane Powers was reunited with his 12-year-old son Boston, did you feel a single tear gently rolling down your cheek? When Taj George gazed upon her husband Eddie, did you find yourself reaching for the Kleenex?

It's time to come clean. Do Survivor Loved Ones visits make you tear up, or do you find the piano-laced reunions to be insufferably treacly and over-the-top? Put down the box of Puffs and weigh in below, as we see just how heartless Survivor nation truly is!

Erin Brockovich was a single mom of three when she exposed a water contamination cover-up in 1993 and won a historical $333 million settlement against the power company Pacific Gas & Electric.

The paralegal-turned-environmental activist welcomed her two elder children, son Matt and daughter Katie, in the mid-'80s with her first husband Shawn Brown, followed by her youngest child, daughter Elizabeth, with her second husband Steven Brockovich. She was also married to Eric Ellis from 1998 to 2012.

In 2000, the eponymous movie that told her story, starring Julia Roberts, was released to critical acclaim, immediately thrusting Brockovich's family into the spotlight.

"The movie had a much bigger impact on me than I ever thought," she recalled during a 2013 interview for the Oprah Winfrey Network. "There was such hype when the movie came out, and it hit so fast ... Everything was swirling around me and I could see that it was affecting my children."

"I could see my kids going wild because we never had any money, and suddenly, we had money and could do things," Brockovich continued, admitting that she was "so busy being Erin Brockovich," that she lost sight of "Erin the mom."

Matt, Katie and Elizabeth struggled with their mom's overnight success and the sudden change in their lifestyle as well.

"I was just a little girl that had never dealt with anything like this," Brockovich's youngest child, Elizabeth, explained in the 2021 ABC primetime special The Real Rebel: The Erin Brockovich Story. "So when my mom's movie came out, it was just, she was gone a lot, more than normal."

Brockovich added that her time in the spotlight took "a big toll" on her family. "I didn't see them as often. I think it was tough on them," she said of her three children, who are now have children of their own.

Here's everything to know about Erin Brockovich's children: Matt, Katie and Elizabeth.

Brockovich welcomed her only son, Matt Brown, in the mid-'80s with her first husband, Shawn, whom she married in 1982.

By 1987, the couple's marriage had ended, and they went their separate ways. Matt has largely kept out of the public eye and not much is known about him, but he did serve in the military for several years and was deployed in Afghanistan.

In July 2012, Brockovich celebrated her son's return to the U.S. on Facebook, posting a photo of all three of her kids with Matt in uniform. "Celebrating my son's return home from Afghanistan. Wishing you all a happy 4th and God Bless Our Families, Our Troops, and America," she wrote in the caption.

During a 2020 interview with The Gentlewoman, Brockovich shared a rare anecdote about Matt, revealing his reaction to his mom's overnight success following the release of the eponymous movie.

"With my kids, after the movie came out and I got that bonus and I was able to buy a house, due to my guilt I overindulged them a lot," she recalled. "And my son said something to me one day, 'We never wanted this stuff, Mom, we just wanted to be with you.' "

Matt is now a parent himself, having welcomed his son, Charles Asher — Brockovich's first grandson — in September 2015.

Katie Roedersheimer

Brockovich and Shawn then welcomed their second child together, daughter Katie Roedersheimer.

She is an activist in her own right and has held positions at Clean Water Action, Amnesty International and TURN (The Utility Reform Network), according to her LinkedIn. In her bio, Katie describes herself as a "savvy" and "hardworking" entrepreneur, who approaches all aspects of life — both business and personal — with integrity.

Like Matt, Katie is also very private and prefers to stay out of the spotlight. However, she has shared a few rare glimpses into her family life on X. In October 2021, she shared a since-deleted throwback photo of her brother and uncle from their time in the military. "My uncle and brother. So proud of my family!" she captioned the post. "Proud sister, niece, and daughter."

Erin rarely discusses her children publicly, but she's candid about the values she instilled in all her kids and grandkids, including what she calls stick-to-itiveness. "It boils down to looking at yourself and believing in who you are and that you can [do it]," she explained during a 2020 interview with Glamour.

She added of teaching her kids this concept: "It's something that you just keep instilling in them, and that's what my parents did. I don't think they thought I ever got it, and frankly I didn't, until I had my own children. I kind of see that process with my kids as they are adults now. They know it now, the stick-to-itiveness, and it gets stronger in them."

Elizabeth Brockovich

After splitting from Shawn, Brockovich married Steven in 1989. The couple had one child together, daughter Elizabeth Brockovich, before they divorced in 1990.

Elizabeth was just 9 years old when her mom's biopic was released, and she has been candid about the challenges that came with her mom's sudden rise to fame. "It was TV appearances, red carpet appearances, interviews, cameras ... phones ringing off the hook," Elizabeth recalled during a sit-down interview with her mom for the 2021 ABC special The Real Rebel: The Erin Brockovich Story. "It was really a whirlwind for a 9-year-old little girl."

When Elizabeth was a teenager, she began "hanging out with the wrong crowd" and developed a drug addiction by age 16, which she went public with during a 2009 segment of Good Morning America.

"When the movie came out, she was gone all the time — either on appearances or interviews or lecturing," a then 17-year-old Elizabeth told ABC's John Quiñones. "That was my time to go crazy, 'cause she wasn't there. I would ditch school; I was driving around with kids that were under the influence."

She added, "I hid it all because my mom is Erin Brockovich." With her mom's support, Elizabeth sought treatment and got sober. She went on to serve two years in the army beginning in 2010.

Elizabeth is now a mom of three, with two daughters and a son. "She's really just taught me ... you fall down, you get back up," she said of her mom.

In June 2021, Brockovich dedicated a touching tribute to her youngest child on Instagram, commending Elizabeth for her resilience.

"I am SO proud of my daughter and her little ones (my adorable little grand kids). Though the road /journey felt and was difficult at times, hope, positivity, faith, persistence and love paved the path forward. 🙏❤️💪," the proud mom captioned a photo of Elizabeth with her kids.

According to a source, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce socialized with Beyoncé at the Oscars after-party at Chateau Marmont. The A-list couple didn't make it to the prestigious event, which was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Apart from attending Jay-Z and Beyoncé's afterparty, it was also alleged that they sneakily arrived at Madonna and Guy Oseary's yearly party.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift did this during Oscars afterparty

According to PEOPLE, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce "mingled with" Beyoncé at her Oscars after-party at Château Marmont, where many other celebrities from Hollywood were also present. A source also told the outlet, "Everyone was in a celebrity mood, and people were swarming around Michael B. Jordan. Taylor was dancing with her friends and having a great time."

Earlier, Deuxmoi, a pseudonymous account known for celebrity gossip, took to Instagram to share two images, which claimed that Swift and Kelce arrived at Beyoncé and Jay-Z's party. In the images shared, a celebrity was spotted coming out of a black car, sporting a shiny golden dress with heels. The face of the celebrity was not visible, just the legs, as she was headed into the afterparty. She was also followed by a guy with a black umbrella, seeming to cover the star's appearance from the camera.

In February 2025, Swift presented Beyoncé with the Grammy Award for Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter. At the end of the night, she also raised a champagne toast with Jay-Z following Beyoncé's acceptance speech.

In a conversation with Time, Swift shared a few words of appreciation for her dear friend, Beyoncé. "She's the most precious gem of a person — warm and open and funny. And she's such a great disrupter of music-industry norms. She taught every artist how to flip the table and challenge archaic business practices," Swift admired.

After five years away, Tom Holland's Peter Parker is swinging back into action, and some fan-favorite Marvel characters will be joining him.

The first trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," in which Holland returns as the web slinger opposite Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Punisher, has finally debuted.

"Brand New Day" picks up four years after the events of 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home," which ended with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) casting a spell that caused the world to lose its memories of Peter Parker.

The footage opens with Peter, now living alone, watching video of his former girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), who still don't remember him. Peter is seen reading a note that he wrote, presumably to MJ, explaining that they used to know each other. "Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me," he says.

Later, we see Peter reunite at a party with MJ, who thinks they're meeting for the first time. MJ also appears to have a new boyfriend, who is shown as Peter says that "sometimes, Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart."

The footage also shows that Peter's DNA is mutating, which brings him to Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner for help. This marks the actor's first time playing Bruce Banner in a Marvel movie since 2019's "Avengers: Endgame," not counting a credits cameo in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." He most recently appeared as the Hulk in the Disney+ show "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law."

Tom Holland and fans tease 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' trailer

Bernthal is also back in the movie as the Punisher, a.k.a. Frank Castle, who is seen running over Peter during a car chase. Bernthal previously played the role in Netflix's universe of Marvel shows, including "Daredevil."

Tom Holland, left, and Zendaya attend the Los Angeles premiere of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' on Dec. 13, 2021, in Los Angeles, California.

Plus, Michael Mando makes his return in the trailer as Mac Gargan, a.k.a the Scorpion. He hasn't been seen since 2017's "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which teased a major role for him in a credits scene that was seemingly abandoned until now.

Making her MCU debut in the movie is "Stranger Things" star Sadie Sink. Her role in the film has not been confirmed and likely won't be before the movie's release, but fans have been running wild with speculation ever since she was cast. Sink joked about the theories on "The Tonight Show" in January, saying, "I feel like there's a new character every week that people [think I'm playing]."

The cast of "Brand New Day" also includes Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman.

The official plot synopsis for the film reads, "Four years have passed since the events of 'No Way Home,' and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced."

The trailer drop comes after Marvel hyped up its release on Tuesday with an unconventional marketing strategy: Over the course of the day, the studio continuously released seconds-long snippets of the footage, doled out on various fan accounts.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" hits theaters on July 31.
